Small land farmers in major part of the world are low efficient. They do not have proper tools to run their business effectively and they do not have extra capital to invest in tech solutions. There are 500 000 000 family farms in the world by FAO data with less than 2 hectares of land.
Landfarming business often needs financing to run. But there is no way to evaluate risks and predict profit for small farms. Our system allows to calculate risks and to reduce them making small farmers good clients for crediting for banks and suppliers.
Here in Agrieye we believe that future landfarming is a precision approach in all spheres, not only agronomy. That is an another story, but in some time we will build a «Silicon Village» to be an example of how it could be with innovative landfarming.
As we know from the research made by World Bank — soil exhaustion and erosion are huge problems. We decided to make an Opensoilmap to represent the soil states and to prevent losses of fertile soils. It is an open data solution made to save soils both for farmers and for the state.
